All the Ingredients for a Thanksgiving Roast Turkey
Recipe: Combine 2 sprigs chopped rosemary, 3 cloves of garlic minced, the zest of one orange, 1 tablespoon salt, 1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper and 3 tablespoons soft butter. Create a paste and carefully massage the paste between the skin and meat of the bird. Slice the onion and place inside the bird along with the remaining orange. Melt another tablespoon of butter and brush over the top of the skin. Salt and pepper to taste. Allow the bird to marinate in the seasoning for 8-12 hours. Roast at high heat (500) for 25-30 minutes until the breast skin is golden, reduce heat to 350 and cover breast with foil. Bake until the thigh comes to temperature. Rest, carve and enjoy.
