Madagascar, Andasibe, baby African Paradise- Flycatcher (Terpsiphone viridis) Adult male African Paradise Flycatcher is about 17cm long, but the very long tail streamers double this. and its weight is about 17 grams.It has a black head, neck and underparts, and chestnut wings and tail. There is a prominent white wingbar. The female has a browner tint to the underparts and lacks the wingbar and tail streamers. Young birds are similar to the female but duller.feeds on the ground and on wing mainly eating Invertebrates, Fruits, Seeds. Nesting habit of African Paradise-Flycatcher is to create the nest in branches of a tree or shrub. The bird lays eggs which are brown in colour and number between 1 to 4 to see African Paradise-Flycatcher in flocks.
