Floating Between Continental Plates

Taken with a GoPro Hero 3 in Silfra Fissure, located in Þingvellir National Park, Iceland. Silfra is part of the tectonic drift between the Eurasian and the North American plates, which drifts 2 cm apart every year. The drifting between the plates creates tension which is released through earthquakes, creating cracks and fissures, Silfra being one of the largest.
